Azerbaijani singer wins “The Voice Turkey”

Azerbaijan’s talented musicians continue to conquer the world music tops.

Azerbaijani young and talented singer Elnur Huseynov won one of the most popular and rating TV show “O Ses Turkiye” (The Voice Turkey).

The final which was held on TV8 channel on February 18 brought together the show fans in front of the TV screens who were watching with bated breath to see the next winner of Turkish voice.

Hearing his name Elnur jumped for joy crying “Thank you very much! Thanks the Turkish people.”

Even on the blind auditions of the show many predicted that Elnur would be the winner of the show. All the four judges including Ebru Gundesh, Hadise, Gokhan Ozoguz as well as Mazhar Alanson and Ozkan Ugur (MFO group) turned around their chairs to want him. They were mesmerized with his powerful voice. Applauses “one more time” were across the hall.

His voice left everyone floored, so that one the judges Gokhan said: “I have not heard such a voice in the whole history of this show.” The members of MFO group applauded him standing.

Choosing Ebru as his mentor, Elnur performed many popular songs including "O Sole Mio", "Lutch", “Sweet dreams” and so on in Azerbaijani, Turkish and other languages, showing the beauty and sonority of his voice.

He vocalizes incredible things with his voice, so that Ozkan Ugur stated that: “We must take our hats off to this voice.”

His name got on the front pages of the media outlets in Turkey, which enthusiastically wrote about his vocal performer. In particular, the publication «Sozcu» called Elnur “the best voice in the four-year history of the project “O Ses Turkiye”.

The singer was also a guest of several popular television projects, and his performance was viewed more than 1,200,000 times over 6 days. In social networks, the number of review exceeded 4 million.

Before this show, Elnur appeared on “Eurovision Song Contest - 2008” in Belgrade, together with Samir Javadzada, who brought the 8th place to Azerbaijan. Representing the country for the first time in this music event, their performance left a bright trace in the history of the contest.

In 2003, Elnur won the TV contest “Sing Your Song” which was held in Azerbaijan.

Elnur graduated from medical school with a degree in dental technician. In 2001, he enrolled at the Baku Music School named after Asaf Zeynalli.
