A festival of pictures and handicrafts titled "Our Olympiad" will be held in Baku in March. The event will be organized by the Baku Culture and Tourism Department.
The festival will bring together students of the children's music and art schools, as well as cultural institutions belonging to the department network.
Aiming to identify and support talented children, adolescents and youngsters, the event will promote development of fine and decorative arts.
Students aged 7-16 will participate in the festival. A professional jury will estimate the works of participants. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and special prizes.
The festival will be organized to honor of the first European Games, which will be held in Baku in June, 2015.
Baku 2015 will be the first European Games, an exciting and innovative new multi-sport event for the continent, which will take place in June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and three non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes are expected to represent their nations during the 17 days of competition.
