It was an exciting evening at the B&W Hallerne where in front of thousands of people in the arena and millions of people on TV, Conchita Wurst from Austria won the 2014 edition of Europe's Favourite TV Show with the song Rise Like A Phoenix.
Some 26 wonderful acts sang their hearts out on stage, competing for the ultimate prize; the title of winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.
However, there could be just one winner and that was Conchita Wurst from Austria who stormed to victory with 290 points.
Austria was followed by The Netherlands and Sweden with 238 and 218 points respectively.
It is the first time Austria has won the contest since 1966, and only the second time the country has competed in the final in the past 10 years as it either did not participate or qualify.
Wurst had been the second favourite to win behind Sweden going in to the competition, with many predicting the act could be too divisive among voters.
However she was the clear winner, with her victory announced after 34 of the 37 countries had submitted their scores.
Azerbaijan's Dilara Kazimova, who performed Start a Fire, ranked 22nd among 26 countries.
Azerbaijan was the first to announce its voting results. Sabina Babayeva, who earned Azerbaijan the fifth place in 2012, announced that the country gave 8 points to Hungary, 10 points to Ukraine and 12 points to Russia.
