Farkhad Farzaliyev and Ramal Kazimov, emerging Azerbaijani artists, participated at 7th Tashkent International Contemporary Art Biennial "Different cultures-one world".
This Biennial primarily focuses on showcasing new trends in contemporary art, promoting new artists and bridging intercultural relations and dialogue between different countries.
"YARAT" Contemporary Art Space, a Baku-based non-profit organization founded by Aida Makhmudova in 2011 and dealing with promotion of Azerbaijani artists locally and on international level, supports participation of the aforementioned artists at the event.
245 artists from across the globe take part at this International Biennial held in Tashkent for 22-27 October 2013. Top-ranking world-renowned artists such as Noriko Yamamoto (Japan), Giorgos Katsangelos (Greece), Urich Lau Wai-Yuen (Singapore), Li San Qi (Korea), Anrew Lam Khong-kin (Hongkong), Mamuka Tsekhladze and Lia Shvelidze (Georgia), Josephine Turalba (Philippines), Mauro Magrini (Italy), Smail Bayaliyev and others (105 foreign artists altogether) are presenting their recently created art pieces within the framework of Biennial program.
Azerbaijan is represented by Ramal Kazimov, graduate from Azerbaijan Academy of Arts and Farkad Farzaliyev, an artist and musician.
Biennial events include exhibitions, scientific and historical conferences, recitals and workshops.
The international jury headed by Jean-Yves Langlais, the President of "Cite de Arts" Association, will decide the winner of the Biennial.
