Operetta 'Arshin Mal Alan' takes stage in Ankara

The premiere of the world famous musical comedy “Arshin mal alan” (“The Cloth Peddler”) by world-known Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli will be staged in Ankara State Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 27.

The play is prepared and staged by honoured artist of Azerbaijan Hafiz Guliyev. Turkish Mustafa Ardogan will conduct the orchestra of Ankara State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The main roles will be played by Dolun Erdener (Gulchohra) and Emrah Sozer (Askar).

Over the last 100 years, the operetta has been successfully performed in a plethora of languages in over 60 countries of the world, including Austria, France, China, Greece, India, Russia, and Turkey.
