Andy Warhol's exhibition at Heydar Aliyev Centre announced free for visit

Everyone will be able to visit the famous American artist Andy Warhol's Life, Death and Beauty exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Centre on August 6, the centre's report released on Monday said.

The exhibition is dedicated to artist's 85th anniversary.

The official opening ceremony of Andy Warhol's Life, Death and Beauty exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Centre was held on July 21. More than hundred works and short films by the 20th century's famous pop-art personality are introduced at the exhibition

The exhibition held in Azerbaijan for the first time was met with a great interest among both local art-lovers and tourists.

Up to date more than 2,000 visitors got the opportunity of seeing Andy Warhol's world-known works, such as, Flowers, Camouflage, The Last Supper, Male Hands Praying, Electric Chair and others.

The exhibition which will continue till September 18 gathered all lovers of modern art. This exhibition is considered to be one of the most successful projects of the Heydar Aliyev Center for creating intercultural dialogue among nations.

The famous artist of the 20th century, Andy Warhol, was born in 1928. He worked as a photographer, producer, actor, stage director and advertising manager alongside being an artist. Andy Warhol's art works were exhibited in various museums and photo galleries throughout the world.
