“Beautiful Gabala fascinated me. To conduct Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in such an amazing place is a great honor for every conductor,” famous Israeli musician Amos Talmon has told.

The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra gave a concert as part of the 5th Gabala International Music Festival, which was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Talmon hailed the organization of the festival, saying the event gained wide popularity across the world.

The Israeli conductor said it was his second visit to Azerbaijan, adding the bilateral ties between Israel and Azerbaijan were successfully developing in political, economic and cultural areas.
Talmon said he had a concert for the first time with the Uzeyir Hajibayli Azerbaijani State Symphonic Orchestra.

The Israeli musician also shared his thoughts about Gabala inhabitants, saying people were “very warm and hospitable here”.

He pointed out that Azerbaijan had reached huge economic progress in last years. Talmon characterized Azerbaijan as a young dynamically developing country.

The 5th Gabala Music Festival runs from July 25 until August 5 and is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.

The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra of the Israel Broadcasting Authority is a major orchestra of Israel. Since the 1980s, the JSO has been based in the Henry Crown Symphony Hall, part of the Jerusalem Theatre complex.
