Cuban jazzmen take stage at Gabala Music Festival

The 5th Gabala International Music Festival has featured a concert of Cuba`s Santiaguero jazz band, AzerTag state news agency reported.

The band performed jazz compositions from their repertoire, and also offered a mix of ethno-jazz music.

Consisting of seven virtuoso performers, Santiaguero jazz band`s director is Fernando Devuar. The group won "Latin Grammy" in the "Best Traditional Tropical Album" nomination in 2011.

The festival serves to promote Azerbaijani music traditions in the world. The Gabala stage hosts performances featuring works by Azerbaijani and foreign composers, classical and chamber music, as well as Azerbaijani folk music mugham. Along with young artists, world-renowned musicians appear on this stage.
