'Azerbaijan Art Festival - 2013' comes to end

The project "Azerbaijan Art Festival - 2013" covering 11 cities and regions of Azerbaijan held from June 4 until July 10 with the sponsorship of Nar Mobile, the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the organizational efforts of the Baku Creative Center has been successfully implemented, Nar Mobile reported on Friday.

In the framework of the Festival, exhibitions and master classes have been organized in the following cities and regions: Baku, Salyan, Saatly, Shirvan, Kurdamir, Minghechevir, Shaki, Gakh, Ismayilli, Khachmaz and Sumgayit. In general, up to 40 paintings of 17 artists have been demonstrated at exhibitions. Master classes were held for the youth with creative potential.

"As Nar Mobile, we always try to support projects aimed at the preservation and development of national and cultural heritage. Therefore, we welcomed the idea to hold the Azerbaijan Art Festival and supported this initiative. In the framework of the Festival, master classes were organized for over 400 talented youth in these regions. We are delighted that the Festival has caused a public interest in regions and cities of Azerbaijan. We think to continue such projects in the future", said Kent McNeley, CEO of Azerfon LLC.

It should be noted that the main objective of the project was to increase knowledge and interest of ordinary people of cities and regions via mobile exhibitions and master classes, to reveal and extend support to youth with creative potential and to demonstrate paintings, graphic and sculpture arts.
