Azerbaijani documentary fetches int'l award

Chovkan, a documentary by Azerbaijani filmmakers, has become at the International Zlatibor sport film festival, in Croatia.

This film talks about Azerbaijan national game Chovkan. Consisting about two teams trained horses compete for a ball. The boy preparing his horse for one of this competition is the head role perfomer in the movie.

The Festival`s priority is to support and help young artists and filmmakers. It is the only film festival in Europe that promotes and focuses on young talents. Every year the festival welcomes around 50 filmmakers from all over the world.

The festival provides an opportunity for young directors not only to learn the secrets of world cinema and film production, but also to participate in the formation of the European auteur cinema.

Partnering with notable film industry companies, film educators, directors, producers, and writers, competition provides a forum for talented filmmakers to be recognized for their work, creativity, and achievements.
