YARAT presents young Azerbaijani artist Afet Baghirova’s project - PHOTOS

YARAT Contemporary Art Space is pleased to keep demonstrating art pieces of Participate Public Art Festival participants. Festival sponsor is Bank Respublika.

On Saturday, 15 June 2013 at 16:00, audience will enjoy "Tell me your secret" project by emerging Azerbaijani artist Ms. Afat Baghirova. Viewers are reminded that it is the seventh artwork out of the ten included in the Festival agenda. In summer and early fall this year, Baku residents and visitors may take an opportunity of attending 3 more exciting project presentations; some projects will definitely boggle the imagination of the viewers by their dimension.

The projects by Azerbaijani artists chiefly target audience inclusion in creation and focus on daily challenges of Baku residents. Ms. Afat Baghirova, the author of "Tell me your secret" project, calls the presentation attendants to narrate their privacy to the gigantesque ear on the conditions of anonimity as well as listen to others' secrets ( you only need to put the earphones on).

A female artist's work strongly demonstrates a resemblance to a reconciliation room. A enourmous ear created by Afat Baghirova records your story, while earphones allows you to listen to others' previously recorded confession. The author is longing for making us freer. Once we learn others' secrets and narrate our own mysteries, our openess capacity is increased. The artwork is specifically and culturally linked to oriental cities, because here people are inclined to make the rounds and are used to disperse news in an undertone.

Project presentation opening will be held at the second storey of "Mall 28"on 15 June 2013, at 16:00.
