Mugham concert held in Ganja

An opening ceremony of the third international mugham festival here saw the concert program Journey into World of Seven Mughams. The festival is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Azerbaijan`s Union of Composers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, deputy head of the Executive Authority of Ganja Nizami Hajiyev and famous tar player Fikret Verdiyev told of the measures put in place in Azerbaijan to popularize and preserve national and spiritual values, invaluable contribution of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva.

The festival saw performance of Chinese musicians on March 12.
