Gara Garayev`s 95th anniversary held in State Philharmonic Hall

A concert dedicated to the 95th anniversary of great Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev has been held in the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall.

Ahead of the concert, it was noted that a range of events will be held during 2013 to mark the 95th anniversary of the great composer.
Then, the Gara Garayev Azerbaijani State Chamber Orchestra performed at the event. Artistic director and chief conductor of the Orchestra is People`s Artist Teymur Goychayev.

Soloists were Honored Artist Nargiz Aliyarova, laureate of international competitions Jeyla Sayidova, Fidan Agayeva-Edler and Emil Bagirov.

The orchestra performed Gara Garayev`s Consertogrosso, Adajio from ballet Seven beauties, Dmitry Shostakovich`s No 1 concert for fortepiano and orchestra and other works of foreign composers.
