Azerbaijan joins 31st Fajr International Film Festival

Azerbaijan attends the 31st Fajr International Film Festival, which kicked off today in Iranian capital Tehran. The Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater represents the country with “Women thrown herself under train”, a play based on a novel by Afag Masud.

The play featuring Michel Legrand `s music is staged by producer Mehriban Alakbarzade.
In the spectacle starring are Jafar Namig Kamal, Kamala Huseynova, Parviz Bagirov, Hijran Nasirova, Kazim Abdullayev, Rashad Bakhtiyarov, Elnar Garayev and Shahla Aligizi.

People`s Artist of Azerbaijan Jannat Salimova partakes in the festival as a jury member.
The festival will be culminated next Thusday. The Fajr Film Festival or Fajr International Film Festival is Iran`s annual film festival, held in Tehran.

The festival, started in 1982, is under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture in Iran. It takes place every year on the anniversary of the Iranian revolution.
