The newly appointed ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohsen Pak Ayin has today visited Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism where he met Minister Abulfaz Garayev
During the meeting the parties exchanged views on the current level of cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism and prospects for relations between the two countries.
The minister congratulated the Iranian diplomat on his appointment as ambassador to Azerbaijan and stressed Azerbaijan and Iran have deep historical relations based on mutual respect, equity and development.
Pak Ayin said Iran was interested in expansion of relations in culture and intensification of mutual visits with Azerbaijan. He also noted that the historical and cultural commonness between the two nations played an important role in deepening the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
They also exchanged views on holding mutual culture days in 2013.
