Azerbaijan joins HEREIN`s annual meeting

Annual meeting of the European Heritage Network (HEREIN) and a meeting of HERE?N national coordinators supported by European Union (EU) was held in Strasburg, France.

The meeting will see HEREIN`s e-InfoBase renovation training, presentation results of the projects assigned in last years and 11th national communicators` annual meeting for activity plan discussions in next period, the Culture and Tourism Ministry’s press service said.

Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry’s Cultural Heritage Department employee Teymur Valiyev represented the country in the gathering. European Heritage Network (HEREIN) was established in 1999 by CoE. It is the international network organization which aims to coordinate government agencies which execute state policy in cultural heritage of the member countries.

Last year Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Ministry had provided aid for the project`s renewal and development to CoE`s Culture, Heritage and Diversity Department.
