Baku International Jazz Festival 2012 opened - PHOTOS

 Baku International Jazz Festival 2012 has opened at the International Mugham Center.

Speaking to the opening ceremony, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev highlighted the Azerbaijani government’s attention to all fields of culture and art, including jazz.

Organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Azerbaijan Culture Foundation, the festival will continue until October 29.


Mike Stern (USA), Gonzalo Rubalkaba (Cuba-USA), Glenn Miller Jazz Band, Carmen Souza (Portugal), Alexander Mashin (Russia), the group H30 (Switzerland), Luciano Biondini (Italy), Grzegorz Karnas (Poland), a trio of "Breeze of Caucasus" (Georgia), the group "Kool and the Ganq" (USA), Esra Dalfidan (Netherlands), Vyacheslav Gryaznov (Russia), Salman Gambarov Rain Sultanov Isfar Sarabski, Emil Afrasiyab, Natig Shirinov, Tunzala Agayev, Tofig Jabbarov, Afghan Rasul, Elchin Shirinov ,Zaur Mirzoyev, Azerbaijan State Symphonic orchestra under the direction of People's Artist of Azerbaijan Yalcin Adigozalov and Chamber Choir "Buta" by the honored artist of Azerbaijan Elnara Karimov aand other jazz musicians will perform during the festival.

Concerts as part of the festival will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Palace, the International Mugham Center, Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall and the Baku Jazz Center.
