Azerbaijani film presented to Oscar

 Azerbaijani film “Buta” was presented to Oscar. Member of the Oscar National Committee Ali Isa Jabbarov reported that the film was passed from the first stage successfully. According to the success in international festivals and contests, the film was sent to the US by the selection of the committee.

Jabbarov said that the film “Buta” has been already included in the first list of Oscar: “There are 4 films in the list. 12 films will pass to the next stage and 5 films to the final stage. If we pass among the 12 films, it will be a great success, because the film “Buta” achieves great successes in the international projects.”

According to the committee member, the film was presented to the nomination for “The Best Foreign Film”. The results of the next stage will be announced in the December.
