On 15-16 September, 2012 one of the world's largest auction houses Christie's, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and space of contemporary art YARAT! will hold first joint exhibition in Baku, in the newly opened Four Seasons Hotel.
The exhibition in Baku will feature a diverse range of art and objects which have been selected for autumn sales held by Christie’s in London, New York and Dubai. This will include Impressionist, Post War and Contemporary painting, Oriental carpets, Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish art.
The exhibition will feature works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Ali Banisadr, Ayad Alhadi, Farhad Moshiri, Andreas Gurski, Gerhard Richter, Damian Hirst and other artists.
A special place among other works belongs to a Karabakh carpet of the 18th century.
Christie’s representatives Andres Rumbler and Dina Hadivi familiarized the journalists with all expositions during a news conference dedicated to the upcoming event.
The exhibition in Baku, in The Four Seasons Hotel, will feature works of art and artifacts that will be sold in the autumn at Christie's in London, New York and Dubai. Among that to be presented at the exhibition are paintings, created in the genre of Impressionism, painting, painted by artists after the Second World War, modern paintings, Oriental rugs, and contemporary art of Arabic, Iranian and Turkic world.
In addition to the exhibition, YARAT! will hold creative discussions, and visits to the Salon of contemporary art and art studios of Baku. The founder of YARAT! and chairman of Christie's Viscount Linley will jointly open the exhibition.

After the exhibition in Baku, in 2013, the works of contemporary Azerbaijani art will be presented in the exhibition hall at Christie's in London. The exhibition will feature works of famous Azerbaijani artists, as well as works founded by YARAT! This step will be the next stage in the work of Aida Mahmudova, in the dialogue of Azerbaijani artists with colleagues in the world of art and propaganda of Azerbaijan in the international arena.
