Romanian “Mandinga” again in Baku

“Eurovision-2012 song contest was the great experience for us. We found new friends here. The “Baku Chrystal Hall” which was constructed in a short time amazed us” said the “Mandinga” band which has represented Romani in “Eurovision-2012” song contest held in Baku.

The band has visited Baku again after the contest on the invitation of the Youth Union of New Azerbaijan Party. “Azerbaijan’s national cuisine, as well as the music is very rich. We also bought balaban in Baku. I hope we will use some ornaments of Azerbaijani music in our songs in future” said the vocalist of the band Elena.

The singer also underlined the music of Azerbaijani popular pianist Aziza Mustafazadeh. She told that the band members listens her music with great pleasure. “We also plan to cooperate with Azerbaijani famous singer Abbas Bagirov in some musical projects” added Elena.

The band told they have started the shootings of the new video in Baku.  The shootings will last 3 days and scenes will shoot in Old City part of Baku.

The purpose of the visit of the Romanian band is to attend the event on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the relationship between Azerbaijan and Romania.  “Mandinga” also plans to give a concert organized by the Youth Union of New Azerbaijan Party on June 20.
