Works of Azerbaijani and American artists presented in US - PHOTOS

A two-week exhibition of Azerbaijani and American artists “Let`s colour the world together” is being held in Virginia`s George Mason University.

In the opening remarks Gallery Director at University`s Center for the Arts Walter Kravitz praised the works of the painters, and thanked the Azerbaijani artists for delivering one part of their culture to the American community through this way.

The works of four Azerbaijani painters, including Narmina Valiyeva, Yegana Valiyeva, Shahla Gahramanli, and Leyla Rzayeva are on display in the exhibition. The event is being held under the financial assistance of the Council of State Support for NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan, and one of the co-organizers of the exhibition is Karabakh Foundation – US.

The key theme of the most works is Karabakh. Khojaly tragedy is the main topic of Narmina Valiyeva`s three works. “Shusha mosque”, “Karabakh horse”, “Khari Bulbul”, “Coloured spirits” are also reflecting indelible imprints of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Executive Director Karabakh Foundation Diana Cohen Altman underlined that “Let`s colour the world together” `opens the doors with the key of art`.
