Azerbaijani films join Caucasus Cinema Festival

Azerbaijani films “Arshin mal alan” (The Cloth Peddler) and “The Precinct” have been demonstrated as part of Caucasus Cinema Festival in Tbilisi. The week-long festival is underway with 12 movies by Caucasian directors scheduled for screenings in Tbilisi`s Giorgi Leonidze Literature Museum over the next 6 days.

The Azerbaijani movies were screened at the festival in Azerbaijani and Russian languages with English subtitles. Award-winning film “The Precinct” is a co-production between Azerbaijan (“Narimanfilm”) and Georgia (“Georgianfilm” & “Bagira Films”).

The film starring Zaza Bejashvili (Georgia), Melissa Pappel (France), Vagif Ibrahimoglu (Azerbaijan) and others was shot by the Azeri film director Ilgar Safat. The movie unveils the mystical story of a famous photographer, who makes a trip to his childhood.
