SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev: Talks on Azerbaijani gas export to the West must finish until October 1

State Oil Company’s President Rovnag Abdullayev gave interview to New Europe publication. SOCAR President paid attention to company’s activity in abroad.

He noted that, the contract with Turkey on sale and purchase of natural gas could be signed after parliamentary elections in Turkey and this document was very important: "Turkey has not transported gas through its territory, so far and serious political and economic will is required for this".

He also noted that, Azerbaijan was ready to export gas to Greece and several agreements were important to be signed among Greece, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

He stressed that, all projects like Nabucco, TAP and ITGI had been considered and the final decision would depend on the tariffs. He also reminded that, the talks on this direction would finish until October 1.
