
Today, the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) conducted Regional Improvement of Border Services seminar in CAREC countries.
The representatives from CAREC countries, Asian Development Bank, development partners, and consultants participated in the seminar. Meeting discussed improvement of border cross points, single window and trade facilitation investment needs.
The meeting participants also discussed an action plan on transport and trade facilitation and addressing physical infrastructure needs at border crossing points.
The Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, or CAREC, Program is a partnership of 10 countries, supported by 6 multilateral institutions, working together to promote development through cooperation, leading to accelerated growth and poverty reduction.
The Program’s long-term vision is Good Neighbors, Good Partners, and Good Prospects.
