
The Boeing Company will supply Azerbaijan with several new planes, said Boeing vice president Martin Benrott, who is on a visit to Baku.
Speaking about the ten-year cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Boeing Company, Benrott said the company delivered Boeing 767-300ER passenger airliner to Azerbaijan on June 2.
"Azerbaijani air transport is gradually developing. We will deliver several new airliners, including Boeing 787, Boeing 767, Boeing 737 and other passenger and cargo planes to Azerbaijan Air Lines (AZAL) in 2012. We will supply Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Azerbaijan in the future".
According to the agreement, AZAL will exchange two Boeing 737 Next Generation planes with Boeing 767-300ER and two Boeing 767 cargo planes. Totally Azerbaijan will buy eight planes, two Boeing 767-300ER, two Boeing 767 cargo planes, two Boeing 737 and two Boeing 787-8.
