The public switched telephone network (PSTN) of the Baku Telephone Communications has been fully electronized, Deputy Communications and IT Minister Iltimas Mammadov said.
All telephone stations are based on the NGN basis, implementation of which is a priority. NGN is a network with switching packet, which enables better use of existing communication channels. Flexible switching and a unified technology enable data transmission on the same hardware to provide a wide range of services and add new ones, as they are developed. This enables to offer the consumers IP telephony, broadband Internet and IP-TV, along with traditional services.
To provide reliable communications and broadband Internet network, the Baku Telephone Communications uses network solutions, routers and telecom equipment of Huawei, ZTE and Cisco that allow to arrange DATA-network among ATSs at data rates from one to 10 Gbps.
Operator involved alternative network SDH-Ethernet in different network segments. This allows to organize communication channels E 1through the existing network SDH over IP-networks.
