WB’s new senior economist for Azerbaijan arrives in Baku

The World Bank’s new senior economist for Azerbaijan, Rashmi Shankar has arrived in Baku.

The main purpose of the visit is connected with discussion of macroeconomic issues and preparation works of holding of next Economic Policy Forum in Baku: "Mister Shankar’s visit will last until June. Forum is expected to hold in September. Main topics of the forum will be related to issues on development of economy, its diversification, labour market and etc…".

Note that, the World Bank held the First Economic Policy Forum in Azerbaijan on October 21, 2009.
