
Prices of consumer goods and services dropped by 0.3% in April, foodstuffs prices cheapened 0.7%, service tariffs and non-food prices soared 0.1%.
As compared to January-April 2010, prices of consumer goods and services increased by 9%, foodstuffs – 13.1%, nonfood – 2.8%, service tariffs – 3.7%.
Remind that, Q1 annual inflation in the country made 9.1% in 2011.
Note that, IMF forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan for 2011 as 10.3%. But ADB forecasts it as 4%. According o prognoses of Azerbaijani government, this year, the inflation will be 5%.
