
Azerbaijan will launch a remote sensing satellite, deputy director of the Defense Industry Ministry’s National Aerospace Agency Tofig Suleymanov said.
He said as distinct from the satellite of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, this satellite would provide remotely sensed land data and fulfill orders of relevant organizations.
Suleymanov didn’t give exact date of the satellite launch and said this issue was described in a special program of the Defense Industry Ministry on the development of space industry.
Suleymanov said currently satellite receiver station is operating in the National Aerospace Agency, which got land data renting satellites of other countries.
