Azerbaijan registers lowest level of inflation in CIS

Azerbaijan registered inflation of 0.8% in January 2011, the lowest level in the CIS while Armenia posted the highest rate of 2.8%.

The inflation reached 1.4% in Belarus, 2.6% in Russia, 1.7% in Kazakhstan, 2.7% in Kyrgyzstan, 1.1% in Moldova, 1.9% in Tajikistan and 1% in Ukraine.

Azerbaijan with the inflatino of 5.7% had the lowest rate in 2010.

The inflation rate averaged 2% in the CIS member countries in January 2011, according to the CIS Interstate Stats Committee.
