SOCAR to be awarded among major taxpayers in Georgia

The oil companies that were major taxpayers in Georgia in 2010, including the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), will receive awards at the Tbilisi Radisson today.

The awards are organized by the Union of Oil Products Importers of Georgia. The oil companies that made the largest investments and employed the most people will also receive awards, the union told Trend.

The nominated companies include SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Eko Georgia, Rompetrol Georgia, Visol Petroleum Georgia and Lukoil Georgia. MPs, governments and international organizations have been invited to the event.
