Central Bank of Azerbaijan to move premises

Head office of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan will move to the new official building. Central Bank of Azerbaijan is planned to be moved to newly-constructed official building in Heydar Aliyev Avenue. Remind that, SOCAR’s and SOFAZ’s official buildings are constructed in this area. CBA’s new official is planned to be constructed here – near Baku Refrigerator Plant nearby Ulduz subway station.

Remind that, the current official building of CBA has the most contemporary infrastructure and design and it has been put into operation since 1998. At the opening ceremony of new building in October, 1998, President Heydar Aliyev noted that, the place for the this building was not selected correctly and not in accordance to the architecture, city construction system, including General Plan of Baku.

Note that, the preparation works of CBA’s official building has started already. The project of building has been developed. The design of building has been developed by Austria’s Coop Himmelb(L)Au Company. Last year, CBA has announced quotation poll on conducting of engineering-geological and research works in the construction site of CBA’s official building. These works designed to fill the wells in the area with solutions. But, then these works were postponed.
