"Again, Azerbaijan ranked 1st among CIS countries in Global Competitiveness Report 2010–2011"

Successful results of the policy being pursued in Azerbaijan have been reflected in reports of leading international organizations, said Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev.

According to the Minister, Azerbaijan ranked first among CIS countries again in the Global Competitiveness Report 2010–2011 prepared by the World Economic Forum. He added in terms of macroeconomic stability, the country rocketed 14 places to 13th spot among 139 countries.

Mustafayev underlined the Standard & Poor`s International Rating Agency raised Azerbaijan`s rating to “positive” from “stable” for 2009-2010, while Fitch Ratings upgraded the country to investment grade for the first time.
