Azerbaijan exported over 2.2 million tons of oil via Novorossiysk last year

Marketing and Economic Operations Department of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company exported 165,578 tons of crude oil in December 2010 against 293,977 tons in November.

In total, 2,240,057 tons of oil was exported through the “northern route” in 2010, according to SOCAR.

In December, a barrel of Brent crude oil cost $91.36 (versus $85.33 in November), Ural oil - $89.62 ($84.74 respectively) and BTC FOB Ceyhan - $92.87 ($86.13) in world markets.

SOCAR exported 2,479,071 tons of oil in 2009 and 1,196,547 tons in 2008.
