Petkim awarded with "Support to Development of Izmir"

PETKIM Petrochemical Holding of SOCAR was awarded for “Support to Development of Izmir” established by Industrialists` and Businessmen`s Association of Izmir. On this occasion, ceremonial meeting was held in Ahmed Adnan Saygun Cultural Center on November 9.

Mr. Aziz Kojaoglu, Head of Izmir Buyukshehir Municipality presented the award to Mr. Kenan Yavuz, CEO of Socar-Turcas Group and member of PETKIM Board of Directors.

Mr. Yavuz expressed his gratitude for the most prestigious award of the city by estimating that as appreciation of the contributions of PETKIM personnel. He noted the investments in PETKIM are among the huge ones in private sector of Turkey.

According to him, the Company carried out numerous works for establishment of the biggest industrial enterprise in Europe by creating oil processing – petrochemistry – energy – logistics chain. Mr. Kojaoglu pointed out that PETKIM`s investment program was attentively observed and widely supported in Turkey.
