Azerbaijan starts construction of new power stations

According to him this station is one of the important projects in Azerbaijan’s energy sector. The productive capacity of the station will be 400MVt.

He says the construction works of North-2 station will start at the beginning of 2011. The equipments of Mitsubishi, ISTOP, Siemens and other known companies are planned to be set.

Cost of North-2 project cheapened. The tender offers are about $ 360 mln, while was $ 450 mln. This project also covers setting of cooling system of 1st and 2nd stations. He also noted that the South station in Shirvan city would be finished and put into use in 2012.
