Black ink in Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations exceeds $11bn

Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover with 140 countries comprised $20.212 billion in January-September, the State Customs Committee reported. The black ink of import-export operations amounted to $11.123 billion. In total 6.468 legal entities (3.279) and physical entities (3.189) participated in the foreign trade operations.

The amount of export increased by 56.78 ($5.674 billion) percent as compared to the same period of 2009 and comprised $15.667 billion. The share of public sector in exports totaled $14.84 billion (94.75%), private - $0.76 billion (4.85%) and individuals - 62,281 million (0.4%).

During the report period, imports increased by 3.81 percent and totaled $4.544 billion. The share of public sector in import operations amounted to $1.209 billion (26.6%), the private sector - $3,099 billion (68.21%) and individuals - $235.844 million (5.19%).

In January-September, Azerbaijan exported 1,907 types of goods and imported 5,673.
