Azerbaijan's Azerikimya, Russia's Nizhnekamskneftekhim sign cooperation agreement

Azerbaijani and Russian petrochemical companies, Azerikimya Production Association and Russia's Nizhnekamskneftekhim, have signed a preliminary agreement on cooperation. The agreement was inked in Sumgayit, Azerbaijan's largest industrial city.

Under the agreement, the two companies will develop their cooperation, conduct an exchange of chemicals, and provide mutual technological and human resources assistance.

Nizhnekamskneftekhim, which groups 10 chemical enterprises, produces over 100 types of chemical products, including synthetic rubber of general and special purpose, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, monomers which are raw material for rubber and plastics, as well as ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and surfactants.
