Azerbaijan, Cuba to sign agreement on cooperation in ICT field

Representatives of leading IT-companies of Azerbaijan will attend the first Cuban-Azerbaijani business forum on information and communication technologies, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said today. The Forum is expected to be held Oct. 8-9 in Havana.

Azerbaijani delegation is headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov. The visit will take place upon Minister of Information and Communications of Cuba, Ramiro Valdes Menendez's invitation.

During the visit, Abbasov will hold several meetings, as a result of which it is expected to sign an agreement on cooperation between the two countries in the ICT field, and in particular in the field of telecommunications and postal services. Cuba intends to learn Azerbaijan's experience in this sphere.

Also the University of Information Sciences of Cuba will held the opening ceremony of the computer audience - a gift from Azerbaijani producers of computer equipment to the University.
