Corporate securities market increases 2.5 times in Azerbaijan

The total volume of transactions for the period of January - July 2010 for all securities traded in Baku Stock Exchange was AZN 971.953.050,35, decreasing 2.74 times as compared to the same period of last year.

The market of corporate securities rose by 5.5% compared to the same period of last year, amounting to 230.186 million manat. This is explained with the 2.5 times increase in amount of transactions in corporate bonds, and the number of transactions increased by 2,7 times up to 135.

Government securities market decreased 3.29 times, reaching 741.766 million manat. This was affected by 4.17 times decline in the repo transactions, although the number of transactions decreased slightly (by 14.96%).
