
SOCAR has organized a summer school for the first time this year taking into account the demand of Azerbaijani energy sector for young staff and increased interest of students in the country and abroad and young professionals in energy sector.
The summer school will last from Aug. 29 till Sept. 6, the company said.
The training program covers all areas of the energy sector including geology and geophysics of oil and gas deposits, drilling, mining, transportation and storage, oil and gas processing, petrochemistry, environmental standards and alternative energy sources, oil and gas extraction and refining industry economics, sale of oil and oil products.
The lessons will be held in the form of interactive lectures, workshops and excursions.
Participants will be selected through competition.
Application deadline for participation is July 31.
Students (completed II, III, IV and I year graduate) enrolled in the above-said groups of specialties both in Azerbaijan and abroad and citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan are illegible to apply.
The competition is held in two rounds - a test exam (first round) and interview (second round).
Candidates will be interviewed by the relevant committee in the second round.
Number of participants is 30 people. All costs associated with summer school are covered by SOCAR.
