BP Azerbaijan has awarded the AMEC Tekfen Azfen (ATA) consortium a five-year Master Services Agreement.

This covers provision of project management, engineering services, construction management, commissioning, and completions for BP's oil and gas field activities in Azerbaijan, including the Chirag Oil Project - West Chirag (COP-WC) project in the Caspian Sea, valued at $340 million and, in future, the Shah Deniz Phase II development.
AMEC has worked for BP in Azerbaijan for the past 13 years. As part of the ATA consortium, it has delivered two large major platform topsides and provided offshore asset support services in the Caspian.
The first work under the new agreement concerns start-up and associated yard preparation works for an 18,000-metric ton (19,841-ton) topsides structure for the Chirag project.
