260 km of various gas pipelines put into operation in Baku

During 2009-2010 in order to improve quality in the gas supply to Binagadi, Sabunchu, Khatai, Nizami, Garadagh and Hazar districts of Baku, gas pipelines of various diameters with a total length of 260 kilometers were constructed, according to SOCAR's official website.

This year, Baku ensured gas suppy to 16,559 new subscribers. And in the regions of the country the figure was 22,827 subscribers. Additionally, 260,3 kilometers of gas pipelines were put into operation to improve supply to various villages of Absheron district. Overally, 31929 gas meters are set up in Baku, 22345 in the regions of the country, and 346 in Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.
