Azerbaijan increases production of ferrous metals

Azerbaijan imported 135,817 tons of ferrous metals worth $55,380,200 in January-May 2010, the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee said.

“The import of ferrous metals has reduced 23 percent year-on-year,” the committee said.

During the report period, Azerbaijan exported 74,873 tons of ferrous metals worth $32,803,900, a rise of 336% from the same period of 2009.
