Oil production in Azerbaijan stands at 21.1 million tons in January-May

The gas and oil production made up 21.1 million tons and 7.2 billion cm in Azerbaijan in January-May, 2010. The production in the mining industry rose 3.3% year-on-year.

The Azerbaijan International Operating Company extracted 17.6 million tons of crude and 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas, an increase of 4% and 4.5% respectively over the 2009 figure.
