SOCAR Ecology Department conducts monitoring in Azerkimya enterprises

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Ecology Department will hold a primary ecological monitoring at the enterprises of the Production Unit  Azerkimya  within improving the ecological  situation and environmental protection in enterprises and organizations of the State Oil Company, the Department said.

The representatives of the Department conducted initial monitoring at the plants  "Ethylene - Propylene" and "Organic Synthesis" of Azerkimya.

The purpose of monitoring is to provide information about the type, amount and extent of harmful wastes formed during the process of production at various factories and process plants Azerkimya's technological machineries.

Besides, works on the inventory of emissions in the territory of Azerkimya and facilities that have physical impact on this process, determine the number of stationary sources of waste in enterprises, the amount of hazardous waste, waste management schemes, are underway. The radiation background of the territory and the technical condition of sewage plants are being studied.

Monitoring in the PU Azerkimya will be held regularly as in other enterprises of SOCAR.
