Azerbaijani oil shipping from Turkey's Ceyhan reaches four-months' maximum

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced next statistic data on Azerbaijani oil export via main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev.

SOCAR informs that this March it was shipped 2.84 million of Azeri oil from Turkish port Ceyhan against 2.5 million tons in February, and by 2.8 million tons in January 2010 and December 2009.

"Over Jan-Feb 2010, shipping totaled 8.2 million tons."

Last year export made up 36.3 million tons, and the last year’s best indicator was recorded in May (3.5 million tons).

Since the very beginning of BTC pipe operation from mid-2006 to 1st March 2010 export from Ceyhan totaled 112.8 million tons of Azeri oil.
