1,202 tons of fish caught in Azerbaijan last year

In 2009, 65 legal entities and individuals received quotas for yield of 2,670 tons of fish in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee (ASSC) says that 1,202 tons of fish were caught in total.

“Out of them 18 tons are shemayas, 40 tons - white mullets, 79 tons - herrings, 72 tons - breams, 27  tons - salpas, 839 tons of kilkas and others were caught.  General payment for quotas made AZN 17,000,” the committee said.
