Azerbaijan improves ranking in Index of IT competitiveness

In 2009, Azerbaijan ranked 61st in the "Index of IT competitiveness", with 21.3 points out of a possible 100, according to the international survey conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit analytical agency, supported by the Association of BSA Software Producers, www . infocity.az reported.
In 2008, Azerbaijan ranked 63rd. The study, which is held for the last third year, assesses and compares the indexes of the information technology industry in 66 countries to determine their level of competitiveness in this field.

Estonia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Lithuania entered the top five countries of Eastern Europe.
