“Despite difference in mentalities, high taxes and the risk of delivery through the two predictable neighbors, Lithuanian companies have a great interest in Azerbaijan because of a high purchasing power,” ‘Lithuanian Courier’ quoted Lithuania-based ‘Verslo zinios’ as reporting.

"Paradoxically enough, there is no crisis in Azerbaijan - the country continues to flourish. Therefore, there is nothing strange about the fact that Lithuanian trade house ‘conquers’ Azerbaijani market by all its forces", Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kestutis Kudzmanas said.
Lithuanian dairy company Marijampoles pieno konservai together with Azerbaijani Ata Holding launched Lithuanian Trading House in Lithuania. Chairman of the Board of the Lithuanian company Raimondas Karpavichyus noted that the most significant trade flows should begin only now when hot summer days are left behind.
Turnover of dairy products are expected to amount 0.5 million euros and a monthly turnover of the Trading House - 10-12 million euros soon.
